The role will help you define the permissions of user who is assigned to this role. For instance, you want to define the privileges to the user join to MyCollab, then you assign him a role which define set of privileges before. We do not allow site admin to define the privileges to user directly but via role, because it will help admin can reuse the set of permissions easier. Does it make sense?

Hai Nguyen

MyCollab installation will write the conf setting files into the folder %MYCOLLAB_HOME%/conf, so you should make sure the current process owner has the write permission on this folder.

I am sorry for this confusion. We uploaded the wrong build and we did correct, but it seems Sourceforge still cache it in some data centers so some users have this issue. Instead to fix this issue by uploading the old installer and change the different file name to let Sourceforge recognize it is the new file, we are in time to release the new version and it has many new features. I will share the link and close this thread when we done today.
We are able to reproduce this issue at our end, and it happens in several Windows machine. We will update in this thread when this issue is resolved.

You please use the default account is admin@mycollab.com and password is admin123. And try to click twice to access the MyCollab for the workaround solution.
